One of the issues that strike a chord with many professionals, small business owners and entrepreneurs is that they are caught up with the day-to-day running of the business leaving little time to work on growing up the business or your practice.
Many entrepreneurs or professionals failing to build a system that will generate more referrals and growth in their business, since they remain locked into time for money.
It is here where a mentor can help enable the business owner to see a different way of actually achieving their business goals quicker and more effectively.
Surrounding yourself with people that encourage and support you, is a must as a professional, business owner and entrepreneur.
Otherwise, you’ll find yourself brought down to a mediocre level and you certainly will not be able to grow your business and expand your services.

Did you event evaluate the people that you spend the most time with?
I did it recently. I asked myself 3 basic questions, that I suggest you do the same:
First, do these people challenge me to strive for greatness?
Second, can they teach me something?
And finally, are their lives a representation of success in their own industry?
Surrounding yourself with niche mentors and achievers will propel you to a new level of success in your business and personal life.
So the next obvious question how do I find a mentor?
Or specifically, how do I find a niche mentor that can help me in growing my business and cultivation and attracting new clients to my business or practice?
The best way to learn how to run a business and increase growth is to learn directly from a mentor who’s has done it before you and was successful.
But how do you know what to look for in a mentor?
So let me share with you some of my practical tips and rules:
Rule #1: Become self-aware
As a Networking and Business Relationships mentor to many successful entrepreneurs and professionals globally, I made it clear to them that I am available to help them stay focused and on the right path, to find the right relations to help them expand their business instantly and fast.
But on the other hand, they need to invest in yourself as well.
You need to become self-aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
You need to understand them.
Based on that you can find the right mentor that can help you support you to attract new clients that fit with these characterizes.
Rule #2: Know where to look
I want you to adopt a global mindset and accept the fact that mentors are everywhere.
You just have to know where to look to the right niche mentor that can help you specifically grow your business by strengthening and enlarging your reach and business relationships.
You need to keep an open mind to find exactly who you need.
Expand your horizons.
Your niche mentor doesn’t have to live in the same place as you are, doesn’t need to work in the same industry, not in the same generation etc.
Rule #3: Define Your Expectations
Your expectations from your niche mentor and finding the right niche mentor going side-by-side.
In order to find the right mentor that help you build relationships with your clients and prospects, you need first to define and identify your expectations from a mentor.
The expectations will help you define your relationships with the mentor and help the mentor work on deliveries according to your expectations.
As all other relationships building, you need to be clear in the communications between you and your mentor.
This one skill will help you book success faster.
Rule #4: Concentrate on Building Relationship
One of the reasons many people fail in choosing the right niche mentor is they lack relationship building skills.
Also in the process of choosing the right mentor, you need to practice your connecting and giving attention skills.
A mentor is another relationship.
The more you invest in it, the more benefits you will get from your mentor.
Get to know a bit more about the mentor’s business, background and goals.
Do your homework.
Show commitment and your intention to build long-lasting relationships.
Share why you admire their work and that you’d love to meet periodically to glean from their wisdom and experience.
An experienced mentor will learn during this period also your strengths and weaknesses in building relationships, which will enable him or her to give you more focused attention.
Bonus Rule: Challenge Yourself
I will never say that finding a good mentor is an easy challenge. It is definitely a process that takes time and based on your ability to develop genuine relationships.
If you completely invest in this relationship, it can completely change your life.
As a mentor myself, I can add, that it is definitely could change the life of the mentor as well.
But it for sure it is an absolutely a rewarding life experience.
